I’m pretty proud of this little recipe here. I feel like my food style is healthy comfort foods served family style, so most of it is not very fancy. It’s delicious food that’s good for you, but not necessarily something you would serve at a fancy party.
But this Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hen is DEFINITELY something you could serve at a fancy party, my friends!
For this delicious Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hen recipe I partnered with the FoodSaver® FM3941 Vacuum Sealing System and the FoodSaver® Bags and Rolls Value Pack to show you how you can quickly and effectively marinate your hens.
But not only that! I’ll show you how you can use the FoodSaver® FM3941 to save your leftover coffee beans and herbs, keeping them fresh and ready to use for MUCH longer than traditional storing methods.
Hero Benefit: Built-in features to easily preserve food in the freezer or refrigerator
Marinating your Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hens with the FoodSaver® FM3941 really couldn’t be easier:
- Put each Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hen into its own bag.
- Place a rosemary sprig on top of the hen.
- Open the lid of your FoodSaver® FM3941 and place the opening of the bag in the designated area.
- Close the lid and press the “Moist” button to tell the machine the product you are sealing is not completely dry, then press “Vac/Seal”.
- The machine will immediately begin sucking all the air out of the bag, creating that vacuum seal for quick marinating.
- As soon as you see any liquid begin sucked away from the hen, immediately press “Seal”. This will stop the vacuum and begin the sealing. You don’t want liquid getting inside the machine, so watch carefully!
- Place in your fridge to marinate.
Making and cutting bags is easy with dedicated roll storage and a built-in cutter. I absolutely love this feature. I have had other vacuum sealer systems, and I always had to cut bags from a stand alone roll, which can be awkward, but the FoodSaver® FM3941 makes things super simple by letting you keep a roll inside the actual machine and allowing you to cut any length you want to make custom bags.
That came in super handy when I wanted individual bags for each of my six Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hens. Snap your fingers, and it’s done!
I used the smaller bags that came with the FoodSaver® FM3941 to seal my extra coffee beans and rosemary to keep them fresh much longer than traditional storing methods. The multi-layer, BPA-free vacuum-seal bags are flexible enough to hug food and seal effectively without gaps. That means no freezer burn in the freezer and longer shelf life when stored in your fridge.
You know what that does, friends? It saves you money! No more throwing out spoiled food you couldn’t use up in time, no more buying extra food you wouldn’t need if you stored your leftovers properly. Um, yes, please!
My family and I just love Costco. We actually go there for lunch every Saturday (the girls get a churro, it’s very exciting) and a few items we use up every week. You can get the FoodSaver® FM3941 there right now (see above photos), and they have November specials happening that you don’t want to miss out on!
The FM3941 Vacuum Sealing System will be $40 OFF in November (must have Costco membership).
FoodSaver® Bags and Rolls Value Pack will be $10 OFF in November (must have Costco membership)
I also got my Cornish game hens there! It’s really a one stop shop.
You are not going to believe how juicy these Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hens are. They are really fun to serve because they are really impressive looking, but it’s not hard to prepare them at all.
Make these Coffee Rubbed Cornish Game Hens for a dinner party or for a fancy, intimate and elevated Thanksgiving feast!
